Life Lessons of Meteorology

 

        The video footage below shows some of the problems we have had locally with the impacts of storms on nature in certain areas.  Meteorology helps explain some of the problems and in many situations helps us prepare for the damages.  Joseph explains how Audubon State Park has recently begun to experience some of weather's impact. 

Projects Meteorologists Work On

        Meteorologists work on many projects throughout their careers. They might include a project about global warming, weather forecasting, learning to use new technology, and putting meteorology sensing systems in space.
        With these projects, there are specific skills you need in order to do them well. For example, if you are learning to use new technology, you need math skills, science skills, computer and technology skills, and patience.
