Responsibilities

Meteorologists have many responsibilities. These responsibilities include studying the atmosphere and how it works, creating the layout of the information they present on the news, and learning how to use all of the technology required for this field.
Some specific tasks of a meteorologist are:
-Creating the layout of the weathercast that the viewers see at home.
-Warning people about severe weather in the tri-state and surrounding areas.
-Doing live forecasts of the current weather conditions.

A meteorologist needs to be confident and willing to try new things. They also need to be undaunted and composed during serious weather activities, because they warn the community of these dangers. Meteorologists also need to be comfortable working in front of cameras.
