Interviews with Professionals

        We were able to visit two local news stations to talk with chief meteorologists about their professions.  At the different locations we learned many interesting facts about what it takes to be a meteorologist.  As you will see in the video footage the meteorologists provided us with a hands-on tour of the news station and even allowed us to demonstrate a weather forecast.

Q: When did you decide to become a meteorologist?
A: I decided to become a meteorologist at about your age, so about seventh grade.

Q: What classes did you take on your road to become a meteorologist?
A: I took physics, earth science, chemistry, computer, and a lot of math.

Q: What is one responsibility in your job?
A: Getting information to the public about severe weather conditions.
